I have upgraded my OS from windows 98 to windows 2000 pro. I downloaded the Windows 2000 drivers from the cannon website for my MultiPass C3500. I tried istalling the printer manually and it doesen't install it says it failed. When I just double click on the drivers file. It starts copying the files to my hard drive under C: Temp and after it finishes i click next on the installation. Then an error thingy pops up. On the top it reads: 16 Bit Windows Subsystem. It reads.... An application has attempted to directly access the hard disk, which cannot be supported. This may cause the application to function incorrectly. Choose "close" to terminate the application. ANd it gives me 2 choices close & ignore. So I click on close and obviously it closes. Then I tried again and clicked on Ignore. After installing, etc it doesen't work. I go to my Printers under control panel and no printers there. And I click on my system thingy under hardware profiles you know where the place you see a yellow ? (question mark) and my MultiPass C3500 is listed under there. So i am having problems with drivers using with Windows 2000 pro.
Thanks in Advance for any help!
BTW, What does this really mean: 16 Bit Windows Subsystem. It reads.... An application has attempted to directly access the hard disk, which cannot be supported. This may cause the application to function incorrectly. Choose "close" to terminate the application.

Also I was thinking about installing SP3, It downloads from Microsofts website, but doesen't install. Any other way of getting it?
