mp2 - OutOfSync after 23min...

Hi everybody,

I have problems with my mp2 Audio-Stream. I extracted the ac3 audio from a Friends-DVD (there are 3 Episodes on one DVD). Then I converted it to mp2 an multiplexed with BBMpeg...
The first Episode ist in full Sync, but the 2nd and the 3rd are totally out of sync....
What can I do.

Are there tools to cut the *.mpv File and the *.mp2 Audio-Files... Then I could multiplex them again as 3 standalone movies and not as one long one....

You might have the same problems I do have with progressive films from my collection. Once I try to mux original AC3 with encoded avi it gets aout of sync. The reason might be in fact that your audio track and video track don't have same length. While muxing, try to turn on feature under "video" - "frame rate" - "change so audio & video durations match"... your video will slightly change fps but you won't notice it. Other thing might be that your audio is only late/early to video. In that case, see audio gudies from doom9.net. These guys cover almost all problems you might encounter.
