I there.
I friend of mine has a vcd(mpg-1) wich automatically corrects the aspect ratio to 16:9(no permanent borders) when i play it in powerdvd, and i have tried to make mpg-1s with TMPGenc containing this "instruction" to make the mpg1 file to set automatically to 16:9 as Aspect ratio, but even settin all in TMpgenc (source and output file) to 16:9, it stays in 4:3 when i play them in power dvd!!

What program should i use to make 16:9 mpg-1's??? I have demonstrated it is possible, because of my friend's 16:9 vcd, so there should be some way to make this.

Thanx for your asnwers!!

hmm. i just tried exaclty what you did (encoded 20secs of vid with the 16:9 pal flag on...) and in powerdvd it came out correctly.

there are a couple of 16:9 options in tmpg. there's one on the "video" tab, and couple of aspect related things on the "advanced" tab. you need to set the one on the "video" tab.

and when you encode, make sure it's a program stream.

sorry if this doesn't help... all i can say is it worked for me
