View Full Version : DVDshrink 1.03 works fine, but versions 2.xx won't analyze ripped files

DVDshrink 1.03 works well on my win2k comp. But versions 2.xx all give me an error message when I try to analyze a file set ripped with dvd decrypter. Opening the main ifo gets:

DVD shrink encountered an error....file doesn't exist The reason is: the system cannot find the file specified
and won't begin to analyze the vob set. If I direct DVDshrink to the Video_ts.ifo it will analyze it, but through that file it doesn't get the whole movie. It does spot main movie files after I close the analysis window, but won't show compression options since it hasn't analyzed. When I open up the same file set in version 1.03, that version works fine.

Versions 2.xx will work when I open files from the original dvd, but this seems to slow down the process.

What's wrong?

Thanks for responding.

I'm running windows 2000, sp3.

I'm ripping video_ts.ifo, the ifo associated with the main vob set, and the vobs.

Ok, I'll do it that way from now on.

<scratching my noggin> But I wonder why was this changed in the 2.xx versions? For some dvds ripping the whole thing will add a good bit of time.
