hi again pals:
First PROBLEM: I havent ever made a svcd with dvd2svcd, but yesterday i just left dvd2svcd converting my 8 mile dvd and by the time i came back (about 12 hours later) it supposly finished the work, but when i looked for the .bin or .cue files to burn them to cds, i just found one 1.8 gig file named: Encoded_Video_TMPGEnc_NTSC.mpv
What am i supossed to do now? how do i burn this file to a cd or what is next before?.

Second PROBLEM: When i play this big file with dvd2avi, it shows it is interlaced, when i did set dvd2svcd to non-interlecing (even the dvd is non interlaced!!)why did dvd2svcd made it interlaced??

Third PROBLEM: when playing this .mpv file, it has this text in white color in the upper left corner: "Film pixel 720x363, 0 left border, 56 top border" and it also hastwo or three white lines in the limits of the movie size, why did dvd2svcd add these things??

Fourth PROBLEM: DVd2svcd shows you in the bitrate section that there are three kind of cd's: 740mb, 800mb and 900mb cds!! i just know two kind of cds: 650 Megabyte and 700 megabyte!!! what's this???

Thanx for your patience reading this "newbie's 4 problems"
Oh... and thanx for answering ALL of them also...

See you

First problem:
Did you check VCDXbuild under cdimage tab in dvd2svcd?
Did you read any guides at all before posting?

Second problem an third problem:
I think you can solve all this by reading the dvd2svcd guides on doom9.

Fourth problem: It should be fine to leave the cd size setting at 740 but using 700 mb cd-rīs. But there are cds to buy up to 900 mb.

concerning your 4th problem:
vcd and svcd can be burnt 10MB per minute. therefore, a 74 min cd can contain 740MB worth of mpg file. an 80 min cd will be able to contain 800MB, so don't worry!

problem 1 to 3 are better solved if you would read this (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19566)
