I ran into a problem encoding AC3 -> Ogg. I've done a couple of movies in ogg and have been very pleased, but I just tried to rip "In the Mouth of Madness" and the ogg files are VERY low audio. I have been reading up about the encoding -> AC3 = low audio problem, but that appears to be encoding into AC3, not decoding... or does it matter? Anyway, I ripped both the english and commentary track and the audio is very low on both. It is only with this DVD so far. Here are the log files:

Any suggestions? Could the AC3 encoding problem be related to this decoding problem? I wasn't sure. It seems to work fine with all my other DVDs, so I don't understand why not this one.

You can also replaygain your vorbis file! IIRC the Dshow filter can read the replaygain values (but I´m not 100% sure).

I found out what my problem was...

Yesterday I was playing a DVD at like 5:00 am in the morning and someone came and someone came and knocked on my door telling me to turn it down, so I turned my volume way down and forgot about it.

Oops. :D
