I'm getting a weird error with the big3 + Scenarist that I can't find in the forums. Quick background: I used DIF4U to rip everything for the movie. I do not need to encode the video, but I did use re-authorist to replace an audio track with dummy audio. I also used BeSweet to rencode one of the tracks to a lower bitrate .ac3. (Finally, I modified the .scp file from re-authorist to point to the video m2v stream ripped from DIF4U)

Everything seems to import fine into scenarist. In the track editor tab, the video and all three audio tracks are there and look okay. But when I try to create the vob files I get this:

Info No VTS<VTS_01> Language Tracks found
Info Creating DVD data (VTS Title) VTS#01
Info Preparing to multiplex track VTS_01_PGC_01
Info Creating Multiplexer info
Info Multiplexing
Info Multiplexing VOB Main Stream
Error dvd_mux : DoMux Multiplexing Error
Error Terminated Multiplexing (scenar.scn-VTS_01_PGC_01_t.vob).
Error Wrong Line21 Information file.
Error Multiplex is failed.
Info Multiplexing failed, Track<VTS_01_PGC_01>

Error MuxFromDB:MuxVTS failed
Error Multiplex failed
Error DVD files could not be created

Both fields for Line21 are set to "No" and I don't have any subtitle streams or closed captions. So, I have absolutely no idea what this means and could really use some help from any more seasoned reauthorist/scenarist users out there. Thanks for any help!

I had the same error, when i used dif4u + reauthorist to replace the spanish subs of a movie with dutch ones.

I also didn't re-encode anything, just pressed "author it", and modified the .scp to point to the correct mpv-files.

While compiling i got the same error about line21 ....

So I ended up doing the scenarist part manually.

Btw it would be nice if reauthorist had a button "Author It without encoding"

Thanks drchair, I'll try doing it manually in scenarist. I've never tried that before though - any particular guide you found useful to start with (it seems like there's a bunch for scenarist and all fairly involved)?

Whew! Got it all working manually in scenarist by following trilight's guide. Aquabubble if you're reading this, I agree with drchair that it would be nice if reauthorist had an "author without encoding" feature somewhere to generate scripts in the rare cases where video does not need to be changed. (However, Reauthorist is a fantastic program, so thanks a million for making it as good as it is already!)

In fact, RA already does this... if you set the %age sliders to 100% then it will assume you don't want to re-encode those PGCs. Your line21 errors are caused directly by not using RA's functionality for this, since it modifies line21 settings if you're not re-encoding.
