CCE freezes at startup when encoding avi2svcd!!!

I captured an avi, the process begins as usual but when encoding video phase with CCE opens it freezes and disappears and i can see only a corner of the CCE window program, then dvd2svcd is not running and i have to close with ctr-alt-supr, could you tell me what happens???

you're not a n00b around here i would expect you to have given us a little more information (i.e. log file). you might have a look at the sticky regarding avi2svcd btw.
