hi there:
I'd like to know if there is some way to make dvd2svcd able to create true 16:9 AR VCDS... some patch, some new version, because the 1.1.3 build 2 version only allows you to make:
"16:9 aspect ratio, encoded as 4:3(borders added)"
"4:3 aspect ratio,endoded as 4:3(no borders but its 4:3)"

Any suggestions???

2nd problem:
What type of svcd subtitles is powerdvd able to display?(i've heard that theres no program that can display svcd subs) ccv by philips(or some word like that) or svcd subtitles?? if powerdvd doesnt display any subs, what program does?

3rd problem:
i own a vcd which has an 16:9 AR(powerdvd detects this and adjusts the height of the movie automatically) and i just cant make any vcd with that 16:9 "flag"or "instruction", Tmpgenc doesnt make this flag because power dvd doenst adjust the AR... What program is able to add this "instruction" to mpg-1's??? I say again: Tmpgenc doesnt do it.

Thanx guys for the 4 answers (and for for your patience reading this)...

almost forget it:i apologize with dansen and the other guys from a thread i created because i was little agressive but it was cause i was having someproblems in my house and i couldnt control myself... sorry guys...

With the same version of DVD2SVCD here on my computer, I'm presented with 3 choices. Included are the two you mention, plus
"Anamorphic (no borders, encoded as 16:9)"

Perhaps it is dependant upon the source? I've tried several different source AVI files I've used and all give me the three choices, not just the two you mention.

Hello borismex!
So We meet again:D

Your aplologizes accepted;)
This time i wont correct you just gonna try to help you.

I think you can solve your aspect ratio problem withAutofit CD (http://home.t-online.de/home/340044300675/autofitcd.zip). To use autofit CD you first have to install Fit CD (http://shh.dvdboard.de/.).

See mor info in this thread http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=44445
Hope this helps a bit.

Cheers

borismex, you'll have to set DVD2SVCD level to Advanced on the Misc. tab to have the Anamorphic choice in the Aspect Ratio selections on the Conversion tab.

Keep in mind that 90% + of DVD players do not work with animorphic SVCD's or VCD's. Read the Quick Guide and FAQ for more info.

concerning you second "problem": AFAIK there is no software player that can (or will) display SVCD/CVD subtitles.
