OK, I just ripped and encoded Rocky Horror Picture Show to be an SVCD, I started using DVD2SVCD but when it came time to multiplex BBMPEG said it couildn't find the audio file so I went into TMPGENC and did it myself. Mind you, when the file was multiplexed, i played it in media player, it played fine if you did not fast forward, im guessign because of lack of keyframes? Anyway if you played to file without fast forwarding, it stayed perfectly in sync. (in DVD2SVCD I had to turn off NTSC Field Operation to get it to stay in sync) When I fastforwarded, the picture got very jerky and the audio is out of sync and it remained that way. Now I know DVD players play the files differently, so I went ahead and burned it to an SVCD using nero (after I cut the movie in half using TMPGENC) and tried it on my DVD player. The movie went out of sync as I was watching it. The only thing I can think of was the NTSC Field Operation... although Im not sure why... but when I encoded it before the audio got out of sync on my PC... any other insights? Im goiing to try it on my friends DVD player (his is a mintek) and if anything is different Ill post it, but mine right now is an old PIONEER(sp?) Thanks in advance.

Well, did you try your last encoding on your standalone player ? Even if the audio is out of synch on your PC it might be in synch on your standalone player. I also have a Pionner player (DV-530) and all of my SVCD Mpegs play out of synch on my PC using STHSVCD but play perfectly on my Pioneer.
