DVD Shrink Playback Problem

Ok, i have tried backing up several DVDs several times with dvd shrink, imaging with ImgTool and then burning with DVDDecryptor.
If i play these DVDs on my PC they work perfectly, however when i put them in a standalone DVD player, they start to freeze up and get jerky at any point between the 4th and 6th chapters. The DVD then starts skipping and the chapter count increases fairly fast on the DVD display, but the picture doesnt change.
So, do you think the method is flawed, the media is flawed, my DVD standalone is flawed? Im really stuck and getting frustrated.

I think your thread title is flawed. Was DVDShrink involved? If not, why blame it.

you are using dvdshrink 2.2 I'm guessing. 2.3 fixed the freeze bug.

I have now tried DVD shrink 2.3, albeit with only 1 movie, and the problem still occured.

Any more ideas?

Why dont you try the movie on a friends standalone DVD player and see what happens. If it plays fine then you have your answer. If not then it could be one of the other things that you suggested.
