I am afraid you can't, afaik subs in a .sup file are no longer text-based, but bitmap-based. You can extract a timed script & the bitmaps using the dvd subititle tools (see the link e-male gave in the other thread of yours).

Alternatively, use any kind of subripper with OCR capability (like subrip or vobresync) to extract the text information from the muxed vobs (which you can edit & then re-convert to .sup).

Latest version of SRT2SUP allows to import SUP format and edit it.

Can you expand on that? I understood it extracted the subs & generated a timed script, but did not have direct editing functions (as of version 4.00). The homepage is currently offline while being moved to a new server.

Sorry, my mistake... Didn't check if you can alter actual subpictures. It only edits text.

Hi, srt2sup can convert .sup files into a bitmap based .srt file.

Srt2Sup will allow you to adjust the position, timing etc of the bitmaps and you can use a graphics program to edit the bitmaps.

You can intermix bitmaps and text if you need to inster new subtitles and then convert them all back to a .sup file!

Bitmaps are not as flexible as text, but you can do some clever things like with bitmap subtitles like having arrows and pictures!
