very confused

I just installed the newest gordian knot. I have problems. Fist off in the guide it says that you have to start virtual dub and nandub and click ok through the errors. I opened both and didnt get any errors at all.
When I go to incode a movie besweet runs just fine and then I get errors popping up and I think they have something to do with virtual dub but I am not sure.
If anyone would like to see my error log file to help me let me know and I will post it here.
I am open to any help at all here.'

if you have a look at the encoding durations, you'll see that the credits were encoded in 3 seconds, first pass was done in 0 seconds and 2nd pass in 0 seconds as well. What kind of DivX5 codec do you have installed? Can you encode to divx5 manually in Virtualdub? Can you load your .avs file in Windows Media Player?

I am not flaming. The guy posting to me was.
I have followed the DivX guide exactly as it was posted.
My settings are all the same as what it says to set them
up as.
and no I cannot open the avs file with anything.
I have the DivX pro 5.05 installed.
I also installed everything the way the guide said to install
it.
Could you take a look at the guide and see if it tells you to set something up wrong. I didnt change anything other than what they tell you to

If you cannot open the .avs file, what error message do you get when you attempt it?

If you get an error message with a line number, then Avisynth has a problem with the .avs file. However, if you get a missing AviSynth.dll, then AviSynth is not installed.

So calm down, take a deep breath... and a) attempt to open the .avs script in VdubMod, or, b) attempt pressing the "Preview" button from within Gknot, which will create a "preview.avs" and open it in Windows Media Player 6.4.

Either way, record the error message you get. Then, post it here.

I have all of my settings exactly as the guide says.
I followed that guide to the letter. Besweet runs fine but then I get nothing but errors.

We seemed to have hit the rock here :)
Forget about the guide, Janet, lets be creative for a moment and try to read the exact error when you're opening AVS file in VDubMod. I'm pretty sure that we can identify problem from that...

P.S. I just wonder did you read the forum at all before posting ?
(all sorts of error were discussed millions of times here)

Avs should be that small - that's ok.

all I have is my log file and I can post that.
You will have to tell me how to post my avs here.
when I started the encoding process besweet ran just fine.
Then these error boxes pop up and go away so fast you cannot read them to tell what they are.
I have a question. This is new in the ap. Setting up the first pass and the nth pass. Could I have something set wrong in there. Thats when things go crazy when the first pass should start.

AVS file is just text file (like log file), so just cut&paste the contents here removing line starting with #

About errors - those are not errors, just small encode progress windows of vdubmod (I assume you don't see any windows where you have to click ok).

And what happens if you click preview on Save AVS window of GK ?
