I'm trying to make a bi-lingual copy of a movie. That is two audio tracks (English and Japanese) and an English subtitle stream.
I've got the two audio tracks working beautifully and the subtitles work as an optional extra but when they're present I get a blue line down the right-hand side of the movie. This happens even when I don't have the subtitles displayed. So long as the files are in the same directory as the movie, whether I've got them displayed or hidden I get this thin blue line. If I delete the subtitle files then the line disapears. I'm using VobSub to make them.

I've never had this before but I've always just burnt subtitles into the movie before too.

Thanks for any help.

Ok, I hate doing this but bump!

Someone must know what the heck is going on here.

Are you using Vobsub 2.23 or something more recent from project guliverkli? If you are using the latter, you may want to try VobSub 2.23. In the case of the former, try Vobsub 2.18. I recommend these alternatives because
1) I am having serious problems with the latter
and
2) I have been told by some that Vobsub 2.18 is more reliable that 2.23.

This is pure speculation, but I hope it helps somehow.

Yeah I'm using 2.23
I'll try the older version. Thanks.
