Has anyone had any problem trying to sync DTS audio in DVD MAestro??
I can sync it just fine with Dolby Digital but when it comes to DTS audio I cant right click on the time line to sync audio... Maestro doesnt recognize DTS....it will compile it but there is an audio delay... I tried IFO edit to author the dvd but IFO edit gives me errors....any help would be needed... thanks....

I have no knowledge of Maestro, I'm using Scenarist, which does let me adjust the timing of the dts track... you may have to consider switching if there isn't a solution to your problem.

"Create Sync Audio Track" only works for PCM and AC3, it doesnt work for m2a, dts, or other audio formats.

it says it quite clearly in the manual and the help file too.

I take it you're referring to Scenarist auenf? I was unaware of the feature you mention (I'm still learning) and to sync the dts I've just been adjusting the start times of the video and audio, muxing the track to test the sync in WinDVD then adjusting further if neccesary (not a very friendly way of doing it but it's worked well for me so far).

i was refering to the original thread post, which specifically mentions DVDMaestro

in scenarist (like ReelDVD) it has a syncing thing, but not sure which audio formats it can be used with, and its doesnt work the same as DVDMaestro's 'Create Sync Audio Track'

The way I sync my DTS tracks in Maestro is from a tip I got from someone in these forums. I always include both the ac3 file as well as the DTs, but if you dont want both you can always remove the ac3 later. Add the ac3 track to the timeline, that syncs up automatically, then bring the DTS track in, Move right to the end of the movie and expand the view till you are looking at single frames. Adjust the position of the DTS track so that the last frame is in the same place as the last frame of the ac3 track. Then lock DTS track in place. It should now be in sync. Occasionally you need to move the DTS a little further to the left but you cannot because it has gone as far as it will go. In those cases you have to leave it where it is, but in those instances it is usually only 1 frame out and audibly thats imperceptable.
