Before burning to a DVD+R, I always burn first to a DVD+RW (for obvious reasons). But, in the last several weeks I haven't gotten to the DVD+R part. Mostly every disc that I decrypt and, ultimately, burn, have problems playing. What I do to test the disc is stick it in my set-top player and scroll through all the chapters, making sure that they all work. The problem occurs somewhere in the middle - or towards the end of the disc. The picture stops (or shutters) and the player refuses to forward to the next scene (or play, for that matter).
Method:
DVD Decryptor (latest version) file mode (for dvd9). then dvdshrink or dvd2one or ifoedit. then i make an image and, finally, i burn the image using dvd decryptor.

I'm assuming that the problem lies within DVD Decryptor, since I get the same problem whether using DVDshrink or DVD2one.

So, if someone could help and maybe suggest a setting change, or...?

Thanks much. sorry for the long post.

well before you burn, mount the image in daemon tools and try to play it on your pc from there.
If that works ok, its the media.

are you suggesting that both the dvd+rw and the dvd+r media are busted? i don't mean to suggest that that is definately not the case but, as i mentioned, i always test first by burning to dvd+rw. in any case, i'll try daemon. thanks

Not busted as such, just low quality and cannot be read properly by your drive.
Testing in DAEMON Tools will soon tell you if thats true or not.
