Hello,
I have installed "GordianKnot.CodecPack.1.2". If I watch my movies(in windows mediaplayer) they all are playing upsidedown. It is a bit difficult to put my monitor upside down all the time.
Who can help me????????
Thanks,
Maarten

Hi and welcome to the forum-
It's easy enough to get them rightside up again. Install ffdshow (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Filters/ffdshow-20021213.exe) and allow it to decode your movies. In the Miscellaneous section is an option to "Flip Video".
But that doesn't explain why they're upside down in the first place. Are they also upside down when using other players? If you don't know, maybe get the BS Player (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Players/bplay086.exe) and give it a try. What video card are you using and what are the resolutions of some of the upside down movies? And there may be some other reasons that others know better than I.

Thank for your reply. I will try it tonight because now I have to go to work.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply, my movies are playing like they supposed to play.
Here are some of the answers to your questions:
My videocard:matrox G550, 32 MB, DDR, AGP, Dualhead
Some of the resolutions:
4 times 640 x 352
2 times 608x 256
I also have a DIVX player, here one of my divx movies also played upsidedown.
Greetings,
Maarten
Hmm matrox, I seem to remember there being some problems relating to upside down video with earlier versions of this card.

Yeah, I remember the same thing. It's not the resolutions, because they're OK. So it must be a Matrox specific problem. We need someone that has a Matrox card to help get to the bottom of this. Hakko504 or anyone else? Is there some driver setting that can be changed? If there's an overlay tab, maybe look around in there

Yes, I know I read a lot about this problem with some matrox cards. Strangely enough, I've never had the problem myself for some reason. Not at home right now so I can't check if there is something specific that needs to be changed. Could be that I'm using the G400Marvel card instead of the regular G400's.
Anyway, lately the solution to the problem have almost always been: Install ffDshow, so I don't think there's much more to it really.

Nimo codec pack has a matrox related filter you may have to install with your matrox card, but never with another card.
