hello !
I just got my digital camera canon powershot a70, that can also capture video at 640x480@15fps, 1024hz, 8bit mono sound.

I would like to see it on my dvd machine with the least quality loss, so I thought it would be the best to convert it to DVD as the resolution of the source is close to DVD's.
is there an easy way to convert it to a DVD and burn it, how can I do that ? if not, maybe to SVCD (will it be much quality loss?)

is it possible to burn DVD content on a CD not as a (S)VCD but as the same as in the DVD (just small part of it) without the quality loss?

well, in my mind, the way are sonic foundry vegas video..

1 - dvd, svcd and others, need 29.97 fps video to make compilant video streams, so vegas has a good and fast supersampling, to turn in 29,97 fps with very low "quality" loss (but u gain much more making the video run more "smooth")

2- u can use too avisynth and Cinemacraft encoder,or other encoder, but will give more work, and vegas already has build-in mainconcept encoder (a good encoder for dv and these kind of video, i belive)

depending the quality of video of your camera (i cant imagine, is veery good? sharp?) SVCD may be sufficient, but dvd will give les quality loss, but more "spendable" (too much cost, i dont now how i say it, im brazilian, hehe...)

svcd are medium-high compatible with dvds players, good quality.
vcd are more compatible, but have medium-low quality.

the mainconcept encoder from vegas can export to all of these kinds of cd and dvd...

about making a dvd in a cd, a niniDVD, i dont recomend, a few home players play it, but if your work, is a good way... high quality at low cost...

vcd and svcd nero can burn it, for dvd u must use a software to build a disc before burn.

if i can help u more, keep in touch
