aiight, i've got EVERYTHING finally working...sorta.

i have the Prolink Pixelview XCapture card with the Conexant CX23881 chipset on it, but i am having problems getting Sonic Video Vegas 4.0c, Pinnacle Studio 8.5 and IUVCR 4.7 to capture in 720*480 resolution - i am capturing from a Sony HandyCam using RCA audio + composite video. here is what happens when i try to bump up the resolution in XCapture properties (up to 720*480 using either RGB, YUY2 or any of the other options) within each program:

Sonic Video Vegas 4.0c - "an error has occurred"...will not capture
Pinnacle Studio 8.5 - will capture (or it seems to), but there is no video during playback, only sound
IUVCR 4.7 - program hangs when i try to change the settings to a higher resolution

now, w/ Sonic Video Vegas 4.0c i was able to capture fine (although it reported a few dropped frames) w/ my friends Dazzle Hollywood DV Bridge that i borrowed. what am i doing wrong w/ the XCapture card? i'm using WinXP and installed the drivers from their site.

thanks in advance for any advice...sturmie

Try right clicking the capture res box in iuVCR for more settings. Make sure your card is set to your right format, max cap size is 720x576 pal (768) or 720x480 in NTSCskank.
