Hi, everybody

I prefer sclive to others because it creates dv files with names containing recording date when capturing.
I have not seen any other programs like it.
But there's a problem with it.

As you know , after editng the dv file and make DVD or Divx, I delete the captured dv files because of the hard disk space.
But there's a time when I need the previously captured dv files with the same format (eg, same time code, same size...) because I don't want to edit again it using vegas video.

When I recapture the dv with sclive, can it gurantee the perfectly same dv files as before ?

Vegas video will recapture the dv files with same files as before.
I confirmed it. But it has not a fuction to make file names with recording date. Sclive has the function, but it has not recapture function.

Do you know the other software to be able to recaputre as before and captured file name flexibility ?

I'd appreciate for your help.

Using scLive with date-stamp scene detection can guarantee this. To an entire tape index, and then select the files you need again. I've done this many times with old projects, and it works as it should. If you use optical scene detection then it could be a problem, but why use that with DV? (Okay, there are reasons, but not common ones)

Ok,
If scLive gurantees the same dv files, I will use the sclive.
thank you very much.
