Tried uninstalling everything that came with Gknot and its codec pack after my last problem, (the solution didn't work, as the reg key mod wouldn't go, as the reg key didn't even exist in the first place...) and I now have a brand new problem!

Um, I sit in task manager as vdubmod is doing it's thang, and notice...the swap file usage...get larger....and larger...and larger...until it matches the maximum, and vdubmod turns slow as molasses, along with the rest of my damn computer. Any explanation available for this one? No background apps were on either, and RAM usage stayed the same throughout. my swapfile's 768MB, so I mean, this is odd....

Any chance of releasing earlier versions of gknot? I had no trouble at all at 0.22 for *months*, then upgraded to 0.27/0.28, have had nothing but problems since...

First get the latest version of MPEG2DEC3.dll here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=53164). Test it and see if it works OK. If not then come back and tell us more about your setup.

i tried the new mpg2dec3.dll, and same result...

I'm gonna guess it's cause i've installed an uninstalled gknot (diff versions) way too many times...meh, i haven't formatted this win2k box in a year, time i got to it...

Bah, I just went to my computer store and saw a dvd burner for 239 bucks canadian (that's about 160 american)...i think i'll skip straight to the "clean simple backup" option for two hundred and forty bucks alex ;)
