broken record sound effect

I am a student doing film&tv, and i have a problem?

I am trying to insert that sound effect where it sounds like its a broken record and its stopping. The best example I can think of is in what was that movie? that's right, max keeble, and the girl is walking up to him and it's playing that britney speers song and then he gets hit in the face by a door and THEN they apply the affect. does anyone know what i'm talking about? does anyone know how to do it?

i am using editstudio 2. Is there a polugin i can get for this program

If not, is there some external program that can do it?

Do you mean the sound of the record stylus being dragged quickly off the record, like the record player has been sharply knocked?

no. I have recorded it out of the film now, but have yet to get that recording "into" my computer. when i do i will upload it onto my site for you guys to download and see what i mean.
