I wanted to take some DVD's and make my own cuts. They are all VOBS with AC3 (say Episdoe II attack of the clones)

With ChopperXP I could "chop out" the crappy love scenes. But then should I just author them all together or rejoin the vobs?

IS there a software solution to editing vobs directly like chopper but with an insert function also? I would love to re-splice in some of the deleted scenes etc.

VirtualdubMod will NOT allow you to "append" a vob file after you open one :(

TMPGEnc will do it. Under mpeg tools. There is a tab for cut/merge. I think you will have to be carefull with the cuts (at i-frames perhaps or scene changes?) otherwise when you play your merged file you will see some blocky frames at each cut.

There is also a prog called vobmerge that will do the same, google that.
Hoep this helps.
