WMP 6.4.09.1125 not working with GK 0.28 ???

Hi
I have been using this player with Gordian Knot 0.27 and DivX 5.0.2 far a long time. After switching to GK 0.28 and DivX 5.0.5, I have to use the DivX Player.

-Is it a known fact that this version of WMP will not play DivX 5.0.5?
-If this is true, what is the player of choice?

I really liked WMP 6.4.09.1125. :(

Hi Folks,

I know this is no help... But I am using WMP 6.4.09.1121 on W2k having no prob with DivX5.05... and WMP6.4 (not sure wich version - to lazy to boot that machine right now - but latest 6.4 install package used) on a W98SE machine - DivX5.05 runs fine... and on a WinXP Home machine the MP6.4 wich came along with the install and no prob with DivX5.05 too.....
But DaveEl is right, I think you will love MPC ;)
(Still wondering why you cannot use the WMP.... as those three machines I mentioned differ widely in their specs I am not posting any details now, as I again think they wouldn't be of any help.... the only common element is that all installs were made by myself... and yes I use DivX for the decoding of .05 (and not ffdshow))

P.S.: Maybe this should belong into another part of the Forum as it is no GK Problem after all...
