GK vs. its guide: Lanczos always by default

Hello all! I've noticed an incongruity between GordianKnot 0.28 behaviour and the guide at http://www.doom9.org/gknot-divx5.htm
On my PC GordianKnot 0.28 doesn't select the resizing filter depending on the bitrate anymore (it is always Lanczos by default, even if I can change it manually), while in that guide it is said that: "Gordian Knot will select a resizing filter for you depending on the bitrate. If you don't like its selection modify it. etc."
Is this correct or not? Have I missed something?
0.27 worked quite correctly (although I have to manually move the resolution slider after changing the bitrate, before it realizes I've changed something).
I've tried to update to GK 0.28.2 but nothing seems to be changed.

as of 0.28 Lanczos is indeed always selected by default.
may ppl use it, and usually you're trying to modify filters&resolution to fit in with comp test result.
Make resize method dependent on bpp value seems to be not a good starting point before comp test is performed... (different movies, different codecs settings, different filters - but in any case lanczos will do good...)

Ok, thanks. I'll learn to use comp test, I've never use it in my 5-6 encoded movies.
