Hello, Fellows,

Sorry for this kind of question, but I need some help, and those tutorials are too complex for me at the moment.
I need a quick solution.
My problem is the following:
I encoded a Charlie Chaplin DVD, which plays perfect. When I encode, in the fast scenes I can see two or three persons running, instead of only one. The film is THE CIRCUS.
I tried several things: De-interlace, DVDtoAVI in none, and even in forced film, but I couldn't solve the problem. What could be happenning ?
When the DVD plays, it plays nicelly...
When my Xvid plays is horrible! too much gosts in fast scenes.

Thanks in advance,
Dihelson

Yes, I tried IVTC which comes with Gknot (that one below de-interlace in the save and preview menu) Didn't work, same thing. What do you suspect is happening? would be a problem of DVD encoding ? may be the original film was so old that it's not even in 23970 ?
I hate those 299706 interlaced NTSC movies.Nothing as a good 23970 100% film err? easier...
hummm hummm...

Hi-

If it's the R1 version of The Circus (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0018773), then it's film at 23.976fps and can be IVTC'd easily. I encoded it about a month ago with no problem. You know how to tell the difference between a film source and an interlaced source, right? If not, read this tutorial (http://www.doom9.org/ivtc-tut.htm).
