View Full Version : RV9 - How do I get Smil-Subtitles on Overlay?

Well, already asked this question on the Rv9 info thread but well ..

The problem is my Matrox G400's DVDmax feature copies the overlay onto TV =>( No subtitles on the overly overlay => no subtitles on TV) :(.

I'd be very glad if anybody had any idea :)

New graphics cards aren't expensives... this may be a solution :)

yup.
btw, the video window produced by dvdmax does not contain the region defined in the smil but only the part which contains the film frame, and, it does not make any diffrence if the subtitles are placed below or over the film content.

hi,

if u have time to made some tests try this :

start a movie in wmp or mpc and pause the video (do not close the windows) and now start the .smil file with the subtitle.
normaly the graphic card will merge the 2 overlay area (subtitle + video) in 1 area because it can't use more than 2 overlay area. (because the wmp/mpc running in background represent 1 overlay area).

it's not sure this tips work but u could try it :)
and of course post the result in this thread this will perhaps help another people :)
