Gordian Knot - Avi size problems

With the last GKnot, and DivX 5.0.2, I could encode to exactly 695MB - to fit on CD. :)

I've just upgraded to the latest GKnot, with DivX 5.0.5.

Now, I get a files size of < 300MB. :confused:


I'm doing everything exactly the same as before.

Any idea why this is and how I can fix it?

Have you tried using the current Gknot with Divx 5.0.2 to see if that is the problem with your current configuration / settings.

I occasionally run into that same problem with certain sources, and only those sources. I could not quantify a reasoning or result for such odd occurances, but from experience, I was able to finally reach the desired file size by choose Sharp Bicubic resize filter instead of the default Lanczos filter.

Once again, no idea why, but that resolved many of my oddly sub-size finished encodings.
