Hi. I noticed some weird white dots appearing when i was looking though my new encoding of the "Snatch". When I went frame by frame using Nandub i found some frames that do in fact have those white spots. Anyone know why they appear? video is 704x388 DivX 5.05 encoding. Take a look at these frames

right side of the frame next to Tommy's elbow

on Turkish's upper lip

on the bottom on the left of the guy

Are they in the source video? They don't really look like compression artifacts, and may just be from the original film. If in fact they are not on the source video, possibly try encoding with other settings (maybe try a 1-pass Q2), and then see if they still exist.

they are not in the source. I checked that right away. I encoded it using multipass with 4 passes with a bitrate 1732kbps
