i've a dvd .. not original but the prints clear & plays smooth .. since it has all those horizontal lines poppin up i encoded it with de-interlacing on .. infact i tried all the de-interlacing types .. the problem is the video jerks .. i mean kind of misses out some frames i think after its encoded .. the vobs were 29.97 NTSC --> 23.976 ForcedFilm .

another dvd which is original has some sort of video error in between .. it plays correctly but when encoded using gknot after this error the audio goes out of sync. the audio is delayed .. how do i fix this .. ? i tried audio skew in vdub with -ve values but its not changing the audio .. req. some help here ...

Hi-

the problem is the video jerks

Well then, most likely you shouldn't have used Force Film. You'll have to either IVTC or just deinterlace, depending on the source material. For more information see this tutorial (http://www.doom9.org/ivtc-tut.htm).

some sort of video error in between...

In between what? In the middle of the disc this occurs? Or the movie's on 2 discs or on 2 sides of the same disc, and it happens after the change?

for "..the video error in between" its a single dvd .. there wuz a kind of effect like you get when a vcd gets scratched .. thats the error i meant .. while playing the vobs it continues properly after the error .. but the encoded file goes out of sync after this error occurs .. so i ripped the part of the encoded movie after the error and tried audio skew correction with -ve values .. but theres no change in the sync ...
