I'm using Gordian Knot 0.28.2 and when I choose "Just mux" it uses VirtualDubMod 1.5.1.1a to mux the ac3 with the avi but the results are horrible -- the video plays about 2x as fast as it should. I then remuxed the video and audio with avimux_gui v1.13 and the resulting avi plays perfectly. The problem is, avimux_gui will not produce a legacy index so if I right-click on the avi and choose "properties" and "summary" I don't get the stats on that file. How does everyone else do this???

did you try using vdubmod which is included with 0.28.2 beta 2 update ? it is a bit different than official 1.5.1.1a which had a bug when muxing large files...

Yes - that's what GKnot used.

1,222,160 kb is the one that vdubmod produced, but I muxed the video-only avi and the ac3 with the split option enabled in avimux_gui.
What does this have to do with the "create legacy index" checkbox not working with avimux_gui(does not remember its setting)?
