Hi,
I'm using a PC at Uni to access the net and I noticed today that when I visit www.doom9.org I get a popup for a file download asking me if I want to download a file called doom9. Seeing as i'm at uni and I don't really care what happens to the machines I downloaded the file and opened it in wordpad, and its just a whole bunch of ASCI looking chars (like if you open a binary).
Once I'd downloaded the file the www.doom9.org page still doesn't load.
I gave the server a ping and got
server2.doom9.org [212.43.217.100]
all my pings timed out, but I'd say thats just the firewall at this end dropping pings.
Strangely if I just visit http://server2.doom9.org everthing works fine.
I tried accessing http://doom9.org instead but then I just get the restricted area authorisation popup which has been discussed here before.
Anyway I thought I better mention about the file incase some deviancy has occurred :)
Chris
