Hi All,
Short version, how to repairing the problem caused by removing one whole film from DVD project with both version [Re: 4:3 and 16:9] on same DVD.

I use IC7 often and with just a few shortcomings I feel it has produced the best simple B/U in most cases on medium length films, [FOR ME]. I use it more than others because of the ability to save menus and extras if so desired and still achieve better quality than most alternatives.
My question is; I wondered what the best fix people have found for the problem I have run into. When a film has both 16:9 and 4:3 on the same DVD, I never want both and eliminate the one I do not want. The problem is if you do not start the film via the scene selection and just hit play, then version you saved the film just loops, usually at the disclaimer or some place similar and will not load properly. If instead you choose scene selection and choose the chapter 1 then version you kept it works fine.

What is the best way to repair this problem? I guess you could use menuedit and eliminate the unwanted button and run the project through Ifoedit but I thought I would ask rather than the trial and error approach if someone has found an easy fix for this. Sorry if this has been covered I did not see anything similar posted.

Sorry about being so long winded, hope the question is understandable. (;-{>.
Thanks Dd

I've also just gone through, found out which title is the WS version and which was the P&S version.

Then I go into IFOedit, and look for the menu item that calls the P&S version title and change it to call the WS version title.

Then I get rid of the VOBs for the P&S version.

I don't know if I've ever really paid attention to what happens if you select a scene, but this works well when selecting Play Movie and then being prompted for which version to play. No matter which you select, the WS version will play.

(This is an over-simplified version of what I do, but should give you an idea.)
