Hi

I'm new to this. When encoding a movie, is it better to do more than 2 passes? Is it better for action movies?

If I want to encode 2hr movie - is it better to fir on 2 CDs? what about 3hr movie?

Any help will be appreciated.

Maybe slightly better. You're just starting out, so I'd suggest getting a few 2 pass movies under your belt before experimenting.

Depends on the movie, the resolution you choose and a whole host of other factors. Let the Compression Test guide you to the answer to that question. I recommend that you always run a compress test before running the 2 passes.
