yes this time i did waite and it went fine but the second problem is that the rip will bring in all 7 vob files but only rips 2 of them what causes that.
Preparing vobfiles to be ripped:
- E:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.vob
- E:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_2.vob
- E:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_3.vob
- E:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_4.vob
- E:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_5.vob
- E:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_6.vob
- E:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_7.vob
Ripping: E:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_2.vob
Ripping: E:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_3.vob
Ripping finished. Speed: 6385

The other vob's could be unrelated to the movie content, ie. trailers, menus and other extras.

What verison of D2S are you using?
Is D2S reporting the right length of the movie i.e 116 mins?

I have experience this and after wresting with it for a while looked at the dvd and saw a huge spot of grease. Cleaned the disk and all was fine
i have been using d2s successfully for a few years now and would like to thank all those responsible for its conception. i too have recently been confronted with this same problem. whether i click on the little disc icon or load the ifo manually, the analyzing disc dialog appears and it hangs. it happens with every disc i try. i nuked d2s and tried installing different versions, but the same thing occurs. i thought the aspi drivers were whacked, but dvd decryptor and nero still work as they should. the only other thing i could thing of is that one of the discs i played could have messed up the region coding. the drivers still indicate region1 with 4 changes left. does anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing this anomaly?

hey i just had this problem, and the way i fixed it was to rip with robot4rip, and then pick the ifo from there. i could rip straight from there, but i also found that if i then clicked the cd button with the disc in the drive, it grabbed the information directly from the disc without stalling. i really don't know why this made it work, but it seemed to do it, so maybe give it a shot.
i fixed it for good. it was an aspi problem, apparently 4.71 is flaky. download forceaspi from doom9 and read the index file. there is a utility to remove the current layer. do this then reboot. then install 4.6 and reboot. now it works fine.
