Yep that's right...no longer requires Scenarist or Maestro to author NTSC DVDs main movie only DVDs with project files from DVD2DVD-R.
You can be 100% legit with software for $116.
dvd2dvd-r freeware
CCE basic 2 pass VBR $58 (trial available with logo)
DVDLab authoring and burn dvd $79 (30 day trial, no limitations)

Anyway here's my new guide with dvd2dvd-r and using DVDLab to author and burn. Yes scenarist guide is linked in case you still prefer that way.

DVDLab..here's the catch only one audio track for now. Oscar will eventually update DVDLab to support multiple audio tracks. No subtitle import for now either. It does import time based chapters unlike TMPGEnc DVD Author.

Remember for those doing PAL dvds dvd2dvd-r comes with IFOEDIT which has no problem muxing dvds so your all set and don't need DVDlab.
