Hello,

Can someone advise me on what the difference is between how DVDShrink works and what TMPG or Rempeg2 do to make vob files smaller?

DVDShrink says its compressing the video, where TMPG is lowering the Bit rate? I am confused as to the difference (if there is any) and what I can expect in terms of picture quality comparing the two techniques?

Assuming I max out the video to 4.7 with all three programs with the same movie, which would provide a better picture in the end, or would they all be the same?

Thanks a lot

dvd2one, dvd95copy, dvdshrink, instantcopy all transcode to reduce bitrate.
Need info on how transcoding works see

tmpgenc, cce, mainconcept encode...reconstruct the GOP (group of pictures -- I, B, P frames) at a lower bitrate
