I have the Panasonic RV32 DVD Player. It cannot read SVCD created by DVD2SVCD properly (it hacks/pixelizes).

Now I've heard that there is a trick, called Header trick to make RV 32 beleive it's playing VCD, but W/O changing the MPEG format to 1.

Can somebody explain (quite detailed) how you do this trick with DVD2SVCD?

Can you use this CD:s on other machines too?

Thanks
Sacke

Thanks! I missed that one. I'll report if everything goes well.

Hopefully the CD:s made with this trick will play on future machines (or even those that support SVCD fully). I would like to still have my DV-CAM movies play, even if I switch player.

grrrrr.

i've got a Toshiba SD-1300 Y, and i've tried EVERYTHING to get my SVCD to play...

i'm just now researching the whys and wherefores of firmware upgrades.

by the way, i post here because the above method didn't work... it just played oddly - like one frame cut up and spread throughout the whole movie and only visible on fast forward...
