Hi there!

I'm a newbie in these matters. By the way, I'm portuguese and my english is not yhe best. Sorry!

I rip my orginals with DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink 1.03 and then I burn the files using Nero 5.5.10.20. I choose DVD-Video because DVD-ISO doesn't work. When I try to play it in my DVD PLayer (LG 5083) it works quite fine but sometimes, somewhere in the middle it starts jumping in pieces of 10 seconds, then chapter by chapter until it gets to the end of the movie. I've already tried in another player (same model) and it happens again (not allways in the same place).
Sometimes I try to make another backup and it works just fine, jumping only once or twice, or sometimes, none.

I heard there is some kind of problem with nero and only a early version works with no problems. Is it true?

Thank you for all your possible help and excuse my bad english!

sounds more like a media problem... What media are you using Princo? You sure middle or near the end of the movie?

I'm using DVD-R sentinel but I'm the only one I know having problems with these. Some movies start jumping after the first 30min, other after 45min...

thanks.

I agree with MrBass - this is most likely a media problem because you describe the exact symptoms I got with cheap Datasafe/Datawrite media in a Pioneer standalone. I switched to Verbatim and the problem mysteriously went away.

If you want to make absolutely sure its not Nero use DVD-ROM(UDF) mode and make sure Physical Partition and UDF 1.02 are selected in the UDF tab. This will give the most compatible disc. If the problem is still there its your media. Tip: If the disc is unbranded or a make you have never heard of chances are its crap

That option you mentioned.. is it DVD UDF/ISO? I will try it. Thanks by your help. More opinions are welcomed!

No there should be one called "DVD-ROM(UDF)" exactly.
