Jerky playback

Hi,

now, that I figured out how to rip and encode with Gordian Knot, there seems to be a problem with my movies.

I used Koepi's XviD encoding guide to do some small test files.

When I watch them, playback is somehow jerky, the movie runs smooth, but with some small jumps every 1-3 seconds.

At one scene change it even hang about 1 second.

Any ideas? What can I do? Anything I didn't pay attention to?

You write no infos about your encoding settings, your hardware setup,... thus it's impossible to spot the problem.

Read the sticky "how to post bugs" again, thank you. (Usually we decided if someone doesn't even read the stickies that we either not help them or just strike them into the hell of suspension.)

...One more poster who gives a sh** about us who trying to help, but just want "their" problem solved and don't intend to spend a little time in educating himself a bit.... (not either if he knows the answer he'll spread it again if someone has the same problem and doesn't use the search function....)

The last ramble paragraph is just a small reminder that in the last 2 days it seems to me people are getting too lazy again and forget about our rules (which we have for several good reasons).
