If you are trying to make a backup copy of your dvd with dvd2svcd, do NOT use Smartripper. Use Decryptor to extract your ifo and vob files to your hard drive first.

then open ifo file with dvd2svcd and start your conversion. no more syncing problems. :-)

Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't. But beware, I don't support any rippers besides the internal and vStrip. And 99% of the time the internal is the best to use.

Not to contradict DVD2SVCD, because he knows his stuff :), but I use DVD decryptor almost exclusively and have yet to have any problems, asynch audio or otherwise.

You don't contradict me at all, I'm just saying that if you're using other rippers I wont gurantee a proper rip and I don't support them. But, why anybody are using other rippers are beyond me. None of the other rippers are faster and it kind of difies the one click program idea. Nonetheless it is ofcourse up to each what he likes best. What I objected most against is that he called it the solution which it is not. It might be one of them but it is not the solution.
