How to extract subs from SVCD (selectable subs)

Hi all,

First, sorry if this has been answered before, I searched for it, found similar questions, but no "convincing" answer (I think I already aksed about it before too, a few months ago).

I'd like to move a few SVCDs to DVD (some home made movies with "optional comments" inserted as selectable subtitles). How can I extract these subtitles from the SVCD files in order to author one DVD with these subs included ? WHat tool should I use ? Is there any guide around ? I know about the authoring process, so my question is really only related to extracting the subs from the SVCD.

I found this thread you mention, Bach, and read it carefully, but it is pretty old (at the time Mozart was still alive...:p ), and I was wondering if any newer method had been made available since then.
(Plus the thread you mention seemed to turn more into a one-on-one between you (or was it Mozart :D ) and DCK21...

Edit : OK I got the vob2sub utility from the other thread. I'll giev it a go.
