Hello! I found a way to extract subtitles from DVB stream, this works at least in Finland.

Then, open the PVA file to this program and select Teletext-tab. After that place a subtitle export format mark to "SRT". Don't know about "pages to decode"-thingy, but this seems to work anyway when they are set to "null". After that go to "main" and click "Go!". It should do the work :)

Unfortunately the author of DS.jar discontinued the soft, someone of you should maybe do an add-on for VirtualDubMod, because many people may need subtitles export function in the future. Especially when they start saving their videos to Matroska with MPEG-4 and Vorbis and integrated subtitels.

I had to edit this post because we are not allowed to provide download links to ds.jar ATM.

We are about to clearify the situation and a statement will follow.

Thanks.

What are you recording with? Hauppauge Nova-t can not record the subtitles from YLE channels, since they are not "burned" on the picture.

Didn't know that PVA supports subtitle streams  How come? Could you provide a link to some documentation?

Thanks in advance,
