Sony DRU-500a not playing back DVD's

I was wondering if anyone could help explain and/or help fix my problem. I have burned well over 100 discs and have no trouble whatsoever as to creating and burning and authoring dvd's. What I do have a problem with is playing them back on my dvd recorder (DRU-500a) The computer won't even recognize that there is a disc at all. It plays flawless on the standalone and that's where I watch my movies from strictly. But I can see where I have a problem if I ever want to backup my backups. DVD decrypter also doesn't recognize it. I have all the latest upgrades and everything works great, just this one quirky little thing.

Anyone got an idea? Is it something in the ifo's? First plays? Recorder?

All I can say is update, update, update! I'm sorry, I was using old firmware for the recorder. Works much better now! Hope this helps someone else.
