The problem is that I have an Dolby Digital Track and a DTS Audio track and I want to be able to be able to
a:) have the dolby digital track run by defalt (i think it might do already?!)
b:)when i go to the audio menu and go dts, have it run a little movie then go into the main movie with dts audio running.
I know that I nee to run command sequences, i just dont know which ones, as ive done some searches for this, and obviously had no luck.
Help would be greatly appreciated!
thx

What i also want to do is make it so that when playing the movie, when either the sub or audio button is pressed on the remote, that it goes to the specific menu, rather than shifting through tracks.
Again any help is appreciated.

I don't think that this function you're looking can be done...
Pls, someone correct me if i'm wrong

I can confirm Surfdrifter. U can't invoke a menu jump by pressing SUB or AUDIO buttons on your remote.
For such actions u can implement user actions through the Menu key as this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=52525) shows.

ok would this work.
If i created a command seqence for each chapter that can be selected to
1: change the audio track to 1
2: then run the chapter selected.
if i disable audio changing during the movie, if i am correct, this should mean that the only way to run the dts version of the movie is by going throught the main movie, audio menu, select dts. The only thing is that i wont be able to the dts movie chapters using the scene menus, but i dont think the original does either.
Does this setup sound correct?

If u won't mind a slight pause in order to execute the command sequence its ok to run it like this.
What is difficult for me to understand, is why u want to change the audio to 1 at each chapter and not select it before starting playback in the 1st place.
If u disable audio changing then the only way to hear the 1st chapter with dts is by going to the menu etc. Remember the command sequence that would change the audio to 1 upon completion.

how do u get the movie to run audio 1 by default without having to attach a pre-command

Movie runs through angle 1, audio 1 by default without user intervention.
The question I would like to answer is how do u force a certain audio for playback.
well, in the menu screen, select the button that would start playback, go to the 2nd or 3d tab, i dont recall right now and check the stream to select. U have there 3 check boxes for audio, video and subs.

ahh ok, i see what u mean now.
Basically instead to using a command, i use the button to set the audio track.
thx

Ok this is what i plan to do:
1: Have both a Submenu and Language menu, which when either is selected from the main menu, runs the same pre-movie before going into their seperate menus (which are still)
Ab Sb
\ /
\ /
#
#
#
/ \
/ \
A S
A=Audio Menu S= SubMenu #=Middle Movie
Ab=Audio button from main menu
sb=Sub button from main menu
obviously i need to use a command sequence, but i dont know exactly what i need to put in it.
If someone knows ho to get around this using maestro and can help, it would be gratefully appreciated.

I assume you mean that you have 2 submenus from your main menu: Audio submenu, and Subtitle submenu. You want to run a transition video or other intro video before going to the actual submenus for both of those, and don't want to put the transition video on the disc twice.
Do this:
Make 3 command sequences:
- "AudioSubmenuPre": This command sequence does the following: Sets GPRM0 to 1 and then jumps to the transition video.
- "SubtitleSubmenuPre": This command sequence does the following: Sets GPRM0 to 2 and then jumps to the transition video.
- "TransVideoPost": This command sequence does the following: If GPRM0=1, jumps to Audio submenu. Otherwise jumps to Subtitle submenu.
Now link your audio button in the main menu to AudioSubmenuPre, link the subtitle button in the main menu to SubtitleSubmenuPre, and link the end action of the transition video to TransVideoPost.

study this example of command sequences. U'll understand the 'if' usage.

SomeJoe, What was the exact command that i should use with Set GPRM.
I can get it to run to the subtitles menu, but not the audio, which is strange.

this is strange.
Earlier i asked about if i pressed the audio button on my remote that i could jump to the audio menu only.
I ran maestro on one machine, and it will allow me to do this, while on another it wont. This seems very stange as maestro is the same version on both machines.
Is it a question of what external dvd software players i have on either pc?
it will also allow me to set up the other buttons on the remote also.

i keep forgetting about the advanced sources switch
also a different way to do this is to use 2 playlists, 1 with the DTS audio disabled, the other with the DD audio disabled, and you use your command sequence to pick which one.
another way is to use the 'Stream Preselection', but that would require playing straight into the movie iirc.
