I Bought An MGI Video Wave Dv Suite Which Contains MGI Video Wave 5 And A 1394 Card With Cable. Whenever I Capture Video From My Dv Camcorder (Which I Bought In January 2003) I Get A Wierd Line Down the Right Side Of The Screen, When The Video Is Focused On Certain Colours You Can See A Blue Line On The Right Hand Side Of The Screen. However When The Video Is Focused On Green/Green Like Colours There Is No Blue Line. My Computer Has 512 Megs Of Ram, A 2Ghz Amd Processor, And The Operating System Is Windows Me.
Could Anyone Help Me, Because I Went To MGI's Website And They Didn't Do Anything, They Didn't Even Repliey To My Email.
The Problem Is How Can I Get Rid Of This Line On The Right Hand Side Of The Screen?
Thanks.

Do you get the line only in the preview window, or does it also appear if you play the captured AVI file in another application (e.g. Zoom Player)?

Have you tried capturing with another application to see whether that makes a difference? DVIO would be a good one to try.

There's no data loss when you transfer from your camcorder to PC, so if it turns out this line is real I would think it is generated by your camcorder. What type is it?

(by the way - posting in all caps makes it more difficult to read.)

Theres a line in Movie Maker and Video Wave, as for the camcorder its a Samsung Mini Dv Digital Camcorder VP-D10 PAL. The only answer I can think of is that my Drivers are out of date, what can you think of?

Do you have analog output?
If yes, check if the line is there too...
