divx vbr multipass

how do i configure vdub to run multipass for divx 5.05 compression ? i dint know what to search for in the forum ...

hey that sounds like a newbie question

Firstly what are u encoding

and either way id direct you to the divx 5 guides on the main page of doom9.org there are very detailed explanations how to do this if the source is a dvd or ull get the general idea even if the source is not

main menu -> Video -> Compression

select the DivX codec, open the codec panel, go to the general parameters tab and click on restore codec defaults, go to the bitrate control tab and select first pass and write MV file. Close all windows

main menu -> File -> Save as -> add it to the job control

do the same now but select Nth pass in the codec panel

start the jobs with File -> Job control -> Start
