Hi,

Is anybody around, who could make it?
When we capture video into PC, the avi file contains lot of informations besides the moving pictures.
In standard DV file format there are fields for timeline, recording date, recording time, (focus, sutter, etc).

So, if there's a program which can access or display these fields, please let me know.
I know scene detection in NLEditors use recoring time to separate scenes.

My goal would be, to put some of them on video source.
Ex: Bottom right corner, you can see the time of recording during video playback.

Any idea?
Thanks

Give DvSubMaker (http://www.divx-digest.com/software/dvsubmaker.html or http://icqphone.ru/video2tv/ a try. It will extract DV timecode and create a .sub file.

If you use the .sub file with the TextSub plugin of VirtualDub, i think you will get what you want.

Additionnaly, it will create a .dvdt file : text file with the frame number + time code next to it.

Hope it will help you.

;)

As far as i am concerned, i'm looking for a prog that can change the timecode (in fact, the datestamp) of a dv file... and / or the specs of DV AVI...

Such a prog is available in the samie site as DVSubmaker, but it's not working very well (they forgot to change the "frame" field, only the date...).

If you know where to find that...

I saw the prog on that site, too.
I'm afraid can't help you.

Maybe you can give a try, to send mail to the developer guy.
DVSubmaker works great, well at least for me.
