Hi

My problem is that SubRip 1.16 will give me an error after I loaded the vobs and press start.
I use OCR if I take bmp as output it works fine.

So I went back to 1.15 but then there is another problem.
After I pressed start the scan starts...
But in the Main window there is only one character shown not the hole Subtilte.
and in the window where you can enter the Character there is nothing shown.

Then I tried version the original 0.97 I think it shows the hole subtitle and everything works fine but I can't choose bolt, underlined etc.´

I want to use the last version of SubRip.
Can somebody help how to tell it that it sould show me the hole subtitle in the main window?

Subrip 1.17 is the latest version (linked from the news page & working).
What error precisely did you get with 1.16?
1.17 appears to work fine, I just tried it on a set of subtitles.

oh sorry my fault I meant 1.17.
There is an Access violation bla bla error if I hit the start button.

I have WinXP maybe thats the problem?
Every ealier version works fine for me. Except that it shows only one character.

Maybe I post some screenshots to describe the problems better.

This is 1.15 and gives me this problem. (The same with 1.16)

After I typed the Character and pressed OK

This is the way it should be. But there is no Bold, underlined etc.

So anybody who has the same problem or has an answer of mine?

My advice would be to rerip the vob. I had the access violation error with 1.17 once but it disappeared when I re-ripped the vob, so I _assume_ it might have been a corrupted vob.
Maybe also try to use the original vob, I guess you are using a stripped version which contains only the sub stream(s). Or try vobsub to extract the sub stream(s) if you are low on space.

Apparently there are some palette problems in your vob, in the 1.17 screenshot you can see that all palette entries are black. That might explain why it is pitch black for the older versions ... actually it might still work OK if you put in the characters as requested.

Another idea might be to try and give the vob a proper name without weird characters - "1x09_//ubtitle_English_).vob" might confuse subrip.

Good luck.

I tried what you said.
But it didn't solve the problem...

But if I take the *.ifo instead of the *.vob,
it works fine.
So I think I'll rip the *.ifo files too in the future.

Thanks for your help anyway.
