Button Over Video

I'm trying to reauthor "snatch" which contains button over video to link to the deleted scenes. These deleted scenes are in a different vts to the main movie. I've tried searching for some help on this and can only find the white rabbit tut which doesent really help in this case. Any help from anyone would be wonderful.

What r u re-authoring with? In Maestro all u have to do is define 2 chapter points that would contain the limits in with u can switch to the deleted scenes and transform them to 'Button Highlights' by rightclicking them. Then in a subtitle stream Rightclick and insert an 'Individual Subtitle' import the highlight overlay and define your button(s). Select the destination and u r done.

I've done several button over video titles (but not snatch). Can you tell where you get stuck? Is it with what command to use, creating the buttons??

I can create the buttons etc, but its the commands to use where i get stuck.

If there's a jump to an other vts set, what's usually done is what is described in the matrix guide. The post commands of the pgc is used and some register is filled with a certain kind of value so that the player knows where to continue after playing the extra. Sometimes you can get the value from the pgc commands in either the title from where the jump is or from the pgc commands in the title where the jump is to.

But anyway if this doesn't work (you can't guess the right command), what you can do is use vobedit. Find out where your button over video command is located and browse to the navigational packs of the vob (make sure to check button in vobedit). It's a lot of work, but you can find the exact used command here.

Thanks for the help, i've tried looking in main movie vts for the button over command and couldnt work it out, but havent looked for the command in the extras where it links to. Also if I still fail i'll search with vobedit. Thanks for all you help

You won't find the command in the ifo. The command is in the vob set. What you can find is the register value in the ifo. So far all my button over video titles used the same command as described in the button over video guide. The only difference is the register value

Did you succeed in doing it? I did it yesterday and it wasn't very straight forward I must say, but in the end it worked
